Corona deaths are on the rise in Kolkata

This information was given by the Chief Secretary of West Bengal Rajiv Sinha at a press conference held at the State Secretariat Navanne on Thursday afternoon.
Rajiv Sinha said the death toll in the state has risen from 11 to 33 in the last 24 hours. The number of infected people is 572. 139 people returned home healthy.
The chief secretary said 36 people had been infected in West Bengal in the last 24 hours. Of these, 80 per cent were affected in Kolkata, Howrah and North 24 Parganas districts.
However, the Union Ministry of Health has said that the number of corona cases in West Bengal is 656.
Rajiv Sinha said 6,982 people were released from various quarantine centers in West Bengal last Wednesday. Now there are 5,026 people in the government quarantine. And there are 10,063 people in the home quarantine.
The chief secretary said the number of containment zones in the four districts in the red zone of West Bengal has increased to 444. Of these, 264 are in Kolkata, 72 in Howrah and 60 in North 24 Parganas. The rest is in East Midnapore. As a result, Kolkata is still at the top in terms of attacks on Corona.
Earlier on Tuesday, 348 areas in 4 districts of West Bengal's red zone were declared as containment areas. Of these, 226 were in Kolkata, 56 in Howrah, 56 in North 24 Parganas and 6 in East Midnapore. This time the number increased from 348 to 444.
Rajiv Sinha said there are 6 corona hospitals in the state. 4 of them are in Calcutta. Corona samples are being tested in a total of 13 labs in the state. 1,905 people were tested yesterday. In all, 18,525 corona samples were tested in the state.
Six districts of the state have been identified as green tax free districts. The list includes Alipurduar, Kochbihar, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur, Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia and Jhargram. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced to ease the lockdown in these 6 districts from next Monday.
Rajiv Sinha said the lockdown in six districts of the green zone would be relaxed from Monday. Permission is being given to run bus-taxis in the districts of the green zone area. However, the bus will run with 20 passengers. And the taxi will run with 3 passengers. These buses and taxis will be able to run in their respective districts. Can't go to another district. At the same time several shops will be allowed to open.
