Today, news has come out that the vice president of the country has also been infected with the virus.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also expressed concern over Iran last Tuesday, saying the US suspects Tehran is hiding information about the Coronavirus infection. Another US government source said Iran's ability to prevent its transmission is also lacking.

An intelligence committee official on the US House of Representatives told Reuters that intelligence agencies had forwarded information about the Coronavirus to the House Intelligence Committee. Considering its serious implications for national security and economic sectors, the committee is looking at the steps taken by the governments of various countries around the world, in addition to trying to take global initiatives to combat coronavirus.
