Japan's Prime Minister may cancel visit to India

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe may cancel visit to India following ongoing protests over citizenship law The information was reported in a NDTV online report on Friday.
The visit to Abar India is scheduled to begin next Sunday. But Japan's Jiji Press says he plans to cancel the visit.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen's visit to Delhi and Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan's Meghalaya visit were canceled at the last minute. The Foreign Minister was scheduled to visit Delhi on Thursday evening for a three-day visit. And Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan was on his way to Meghalaya today. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not give any information as to why the trip had been abruptly canceled in advance. However, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan's visit to Meghalaya was canceled due to circumstances arising there.
According to the Japanese Prime Minister's visit, he and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to meet in Guwahati, the capital of the state of Assam.

"We do not have any updated information," said Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar at a weekly briefing on Thursday.
Last week, a spokeswoman for the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there will be a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shinzo Ab on December 5 to 7.
The controversial bill was passed in the Lok Sabha last Monday. And last Wednesday the Rajya Sabha was passed. Indian President Ram Nath Kobind signed the bill on Thursday night. As a result, the bill became law. The Gazette has already been released.
With the amendment to the Indian Citizenship Act of 9, Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Persians and Buddhists who have been persecuted for religious reasons from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan will get Indian citizenship.
