Warda is a woman from Kuwait. Warda's family has allowed 37-year-old to go to only two places. His workplace and beauty salon. The salon is now closed due to corona infection. But it was here that Warda got the opportunity to interact with others in the society. The salon was closed three months ago to prevent coronary infection. For Wardar, a window to the outside world seems to be closed. He has been depressed and frustrated ever since.
Warda told AFP: 'He remembers the time he talked there. I come from a conservative family. Don't go out too much. I would go to the salon to enjoy the time. Can't imagine how much fun we had there. ' When the salon will open, Warda is waiting for him. "I can't imagine my life without a salon," he said.
Women are serving in various top levels of government in Kuwait. However, there are strict restrictions on some old-fashioned families. Women of such families cannot go to any shopping mall, coffee shop, or even for exercise alone. However, women are allowed to go to salons run for beauty treatments. Women can go to these salons for regular work. Things like men's hangouts, coffee drinks are known as 'diwania' in Kuwait. Women's salons are considered as an alternative.
In Kuwait, it is difficult to find a building that does not have one or two salons in shopping areas. Adiba Al Wadi operates two AIIMS salons in the Al Fintas area south of Kuwait City. He said salons have become a part of life.
In the oil-rich country of Kuwait, the average annual income is more than হাজার 60,000. Most of the citizens here are accustomed to living a luxurious life. For this reason, most Kuwaiti women are accustomed to going to beauty salons.
A woman from the United Arab Emirates told AFP that several Kuwaiti women visit salons at least twice or thrice a week. There they talk to others. Drink coffee.
Kuwaiti women will have to wait until next September to open such salons.
According to AFP, there are more than 34,000 unidentified people in Kuwait. 279 people have died in the country.
Corona has caused many businesses in Kuwait to collapse. Staff have also been laid off in the salons.
Adiba Al Wadi, director of the salon, said: But we did not get permission. Adiba doesn't expect the salons to be social gatherings again after being closed for a long time. Because, as a precaution, there will be restrictions on social gatherings in salons. Wadi said he thinks Kuwaiti women will go to the salon to get the services they need in the future. Salons can no longer be the center of their social interactions.
