Cabinet resigns in France

03 July 2020, 19:25 BDT
The Prime Minister of France Edward Philippe
His entire cabinet, including French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, has resigned. French President Emmanuel Macho has accepted their resignation, according to Elysee Palace sources.
A brief statement on Friday did not give a reason for their resignation. However, the reshuffle of the cabinet was already being considered after President Macho promised to streamline everything in the last two years of his rule.
According to the President, the current government will continue its day-to-day work until a new government is formed. The name of the new Prime Minister will also be announced soon.
The prime minister had to submit his resignation letter during the formation of the new government in France. The cabinet then formed a new cabinet. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
According to the New York Times, Makhon is making changes to start a new episode after the Corona outbreak and to give his government a new mandate in his five-year term. The term of his government is coming to an end in 2022.
The reshuffle was the most anticipated since the Green Party showed strong results in last week's French municipal elections. From this, Makhon was under pressure to change his board of directors.
