Now everyone's eyes towards the Raiganj Lok Sabha constituency of north Dinajpur in West Bengal, India. Four prominent politicians from this seat are taking part. Who will win, so the accounting process is going on in the political circle. This is a quadruple battle in this constituency. Four candidates contesting the elections are strong. Four candidates demanded that they win.
Who really won, it is not clear yet. The latest Lionsan public opinion poll suggests that in the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP could win 8 seats. The Raiganj seat is among those 8 seats.
The current or outgoing MP of Raiganj constituency is the CPM's central leader and politburo member Mohammad Selim. He is still contesting this constituency. The former Congress MP and former Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi's wife Deepa Dasmunsi is facing more competition. Deepa Dasamuni was also the Congress-led UPA government's central urban development minister. Though Prioranjan Dasamunisi is the seat, Prioranjan Dasamunshi was attacked on 12 October 2008 by severe heart attack as information and broadcasting minister. After being in coma for 9 years continuously, he died on November 20, 2017.
The fight has now started in four candidates. On one hand, current MP Mohammad Selim, on the other hand, former MP Deepa Dasmunshi and newcomers BJP's Devshree Chowdhury and Trinamool's Kanaiya Lal Agarwal. Kanaiya Lal was the Congress legislator of Islampur assembly seat of Rayaganj and Chairman of Islampur Municipality. He recently left the Congress and joined grassroots, Trinamool made him the candidate of the Raiganj Lok Sabha constituency.
Agarwal thinks that he has great popularity as a Congress worker in this area. Now he gets extra popularity as he joins the grassroots. The vote will increase. He sure he will win the tide of development in Mamta. Congress or CPM can not stand here Because, they do not have that power any more.
The BJP has fielded the state general secretary Devshree Chowdhury in the seat. Devshree established himself as a BJP women's leader in the state. The students of the school and the students of the school got angry after protesting the decision to recruit Urdu teachers in Isshpur's Dardivita High School. They demanded that there was no student to read Urdu. Why will the Urdu teachers be appointed here? The two former students who died on September 21 last year by police firing in this movement were killed. BJP leader Devshree Chowdhury came to the leadership in this movement. He emphasized that this seat will be in BJP bag. People have turned to the BJP. He is also sure about victory. It is said that the Congress is not able to do this state again. The left parties have become bolted. The grassroots kill the politics of murder. Democracy has abducted. So their day is in front.
Another powerful candidate of Raiganj seat is CPM Mohammad Selim. Now, on the eve of the election, the Congress-Left alliance in West Bengal is in the process of getting the barriers to the Raiganj seat. Because Congress leader Deepa Dasmunsi dropped from the seat for the fight. But the left party did not support it. Left parties have repeatedly proposed that in the 2014 elections, the four parties and the CPM won two seats, all those parties will give the candidates. But the Congress could not accept this proposal. The Left-Congress alliance broke away. The fight falls apart separately.
Yet the CPI (M) or the Left Front are hopeful they will win this seat again. In the last elections, CPM leader Mohammad Selim won only 1, 634 votes. Selim got 3 lakh 17 thousand 515 votes. His nearest rival Dipa Dasamuni received 3,15,881 votes. BJP nominee Nimu Bhowmik got 2 lakh 3 thousand 131 votes.
Now, according to the last year's vote, Deepa Dasmunsi thinks Vijay is waiting for him. The people of Raiganj are still remembering their beloved leader Priyaranjan Dasmunsi. Therefore, he thinks that the people of Raiganj will vote for Kangrassa.
Although the four candidates expressed optimism for winning, it is still not clear who is going to win. Four candidates have voted to vote, claiming that the win will be theirs. Though this time it has been handed over to the BJP in the light of public opinion. The question whether the BJP will win this seat has now become bigger in West Bengal's politics. Because, Mamata has already declared that the state has got 42 seats in the state of the Trinamool. Opponents will get zero seats in this state.
