In Nepal, according to the tradition of ancient 'Chaupadi' women are considered 'unclean' after menstruating or childbirth. This time it is believed that women can bring unhappiness. So women are compelled to stay in huts or cows at menstrual periods.

It is said to walk along the distance of the village. Teenagers can not go to school. In extreme winter, the girls were kept out of the house. Many times the terrorist attacks on those girls also happen.
The government of Nepal has imposed a ban on sending the mother or mother of her mother in the house in 2005. In 2013, it was considered a crime. But this prejudice still continues in remote rural areas.
According to Nepalese law, if a woman is forced into a four-wheeler, there are three months imprisonment and a fine of 30 dollars. Rights activists demanded strict enforcement of the law.
