Security forces killed 40 people in Kashmir attack

At least 40 members of the country's Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been killed in bomb attacks in the Indian-controlled Jammu and Kashmir. The attacks took place in the state of Pulwama in Awantipura area on Thursday. This is the biggest attack on Indian forces in recent years.
NDTV reports that this attack happened about 20 kilometers away from Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city. The Home Ministry said that the attacks were carried out targeting 78 vehicles of CRPF. Several people were injured in the attack. Many of them are in critical condition. The casualties were taken to the hospital in Srinagar. It is believed that around 350 kg of explosives were used in the attack.
The terrorist organization Zaish-e-Mohammed admitted the responsibility of the attack. A spokesman for the organization said it was a suicide attack. Adil Ahmad launched this attack. He joined the organization in 2018.
According to sources in the Ministry of Interior, the CRPF had around 2,500 members in 78 vehicles. Seeing the incident, damaged vehicles and dead bodies are on the highway. According to sources, the attack was carried out in the car.
Local media reported that the police sources said that yesterday a CRPF fleet was going from Jammu to Srinagar via highway in Pulwama district. The attack was carried out on the convoy in Awantipura area.
At the time of the attack, a CRPF member said that the incident happened in the IED explosion (Improve Explosive Device).
There were 39 members of the security forces in the CRPF bus which was targeted by the blast. It is believed that the terrorists fired after trying to hide those members after the blasts. There are bullets on the bus.
After this incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote in a tweet saying, "The attack on CRPF members in Pulwama is disgusting. I condemn the attack of the Kapoorite.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi has also condoled the death of the victims in this attack.
Before the attack, the biggest attack in Kashmir was in September 2016. 19 Indian soldiers were killed in the attack.
