Health minister resigns at 11 newborns in Tunisia
The country's Health Minister abdarroufe sheriff resigned after 11 newborns died in a hospital in Tunisia.
Today, the BBC Online report said on Sunday that he resigned as chief minister for four months only after being appointed as the health minister.
The hospital is located in the capital Tunisia. According to the Ministry of Health, evidence suggests that between 7 and 8 March, those 11 newborns died due to septic shock.
Tunisia's Prime Minister Youssef Chahde said that in this case, the investigation of the practice of medical and hygiene practices in government hospitals in the country has begun.
It is said from the organization of the doctors in Tunisia that the infection of the newly born infants can be caused due to something used in the vein. The doctors also criticized their working environment.
Among the North African countries, Tunisia has a reputation for medical treatment. A major part of the country's income comes from medical tourism.
