Child marriage is increasing in Tripura

India's tendency to marry minorities is going down a bit. But the rate of child marriage is rising at alarming rates in Tripura, Bangladesh. This information is available from an international organization's survey report.
Between the ages of 15 and 19 years, the second in Tripura India is the trend of the marriage of the girls. The condition of the rural areas is even worse. More than 80 percent of rural women get married at an early age.
According to the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) report, an international organization named Young Lives has said that India's national rate of marriage between 15 and 19 years is about 12 percent. This study is from April 2015 to March 2016. 
In this study, more than 21 percent of women in Tripura get married in 15 to 19 years. Indian law prohibits marriage of women under 18 years of age.
Studies have found that 52 percent of women married in Tripura are at least pregnant at the age of minors. More than 5 percent are giving birth to more than one child. 
Tripura Child Rights Protection Commission Chairman Nilima Ghosh said in the first light, 12 year old child also conceived in this state. The High Court decides the child has the opportunity of abortion. But in most cases the opportunity is not available. 
Nilima Ghosh also said that the matter is very worrying. Because, it is related to the health of children and mothers. Nilima stressed on raising awareness against child marriage in rural areas. 
According to the census in India in 2011, there are 1 crore 21 million adolescents in the whole country. Child marriage was 14.1 percent in 2005-06. However, the study of 2015-16 says that the rate has decreased slightly across the country. At this time, the rate of marriage between 15 and 19 years is 11.9 percent.
It has been found in the survey report that not only among the lower classes but also among the upper-middle class or middle class, there is a tendency to marry at an early age.
And 16 and 17 year olds are ahead in pregnancy. 
Experts give importance to raising awareness to stop marriage at an early age.
